The rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in research communities is making the research pipeline more efficient but also risks a credibility rupture. Think tanks face shared challenges in using these tools while protecting credibility, transparency and analytical integrity.
This virtual event will bring together think tank leaders to discuss how think tanks are navigating AI-related vulnerabilities across research and publication, approaches to human oversight and disclosure, and the practical implications of implementing responsible-use policies.
CIGI will present its Human Analysis Standard (HAS), launched in July 2026 as a practical baseline for responsible AI use, built around human leadership, AI transparency and responsible analysis.
The goal is to exchange experiences, gather feedback and consider how think tanks can work toward adopting shared norms to strengthen public trust in policy research.
