Bio
Wolfgang Alschner is a full professor at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, where he holds the Hyman Soloway Chair in Business and Trade Law. Wolfgang is an expert in international investment law and arbitration, trade law and policy, as well as the empirical and computational analysis of law.
He is also McMillan LLP’s Academic in Residence, advising on trade remedies, legal innovation and international trade matters. Wolfgang serves as co-editor of the World Trade Review and sits on the board of the Journal of International Economic Law. Wolfgang holds a Ph.D. in international law from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a master of laws degree from Stanford Law School.
