Bio

Salvator Cusimano works for the United Nations at its headquarters in New York, where he focuses on linking UN peacekeeping to long-term strategies to build and sustain peace. He served with UN peace operations in the Central African Republic and Yemen, where he supported the implementation of peace agreements and worked with national authorities and civil society to prevent and respond to violence. Previously, he worked in the field of refugee protection with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Malta and Romero House in Toronto. He holds an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Clarendon Scholar, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
