Rami Alhamad is a Canadian technology entrepreneur and engineer whose work spans wearable hardware, applied AI and consumer health. He is a founder in residence at Mila — Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, where he works at the intersection of applied AI research and commercial product development, and a venture partner at Antler, where he advises early-stage founders.

Rami founded PUSH, a wearable technology company for athletic performance that was acquired in 2021 by WHOOP, where he then served as vice president of product. He currently leads Alma, an AI-powered nutrition platform backed by Menlo Ventures. His career has focused on bringing technically ambitious products from prototype to market in Canada — an experience that informs his perspective on the country’s AI policy landscape.

Rami’s published research on robotic exoskeleton hand devices for stroke rehabilitation appeared in Sensors in 2023. He holds a master of science in engineering systems and computing from the University of Guelph and a bachelor of applied science in mechatronics engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is an advisor at Invest Ottawa and an organizer with AI Tinkerers. He speaks English and Arabic.
