Bio
Marie Lamensch is the global affairs officer at the Montreal Institute for Global Security and is an expert in global and human security, human rights, mass atrocity prevention, emerging technologies and digital authoritarianism. Marie has a bachelor’s degree in history (with a specialization in genocide studies) from Concordia University and a master’s degree in war studies and complex emergencies from King’s College London. She is the former program coordinator at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at Concordia University and is affiliated with the Chaire Raoul-Dandurand at Université du Québec à Montréal. Marie regularly gives conferences, training courses and interviews, and acts as a consultant for policy makers and diplomats, the private sector, as well as NGOs and think tanks.
