The 2025–2026 online seminar series Digital Rules, Human Values features global leaders shaping digital governance. By bringing together speakers from across the world, the series is a true global seminar.

Invited speakers include world-leading policy makers, companies and practitioners, rights advocates, regulators, non-governmental organizations and multilateral organizations.

The overarching theme is to build a digital economy that serves human welfare. Speakers will share practical ideas to make the rules of online markets more responsive to the broad interests of humanity, not just businesses and governments.

The series builds on GIDE’s Innovation in the Digital Economy Architecture (IDEA) framework.

Key themes include:

  • data governance and individual agency;
  • emerging models and regional perspectives;
  • global cooperation and geopolitics; and
  • digital economy and labour governance.

Format and Timing

  • Each seminar is 60–75 minutes, including presentation, discussion and live Q&A.
  • Standard session start time is 1 PM UTC.
  • Seminars are held online on the first and third Thursdays of each month, starting November 20, 2025.
  • Occasional additional sessions may be announced.

  • Policy makers, researchers, business leaders and civil society professionals engaged in the design of fair and accountable digital systems.
