At the India AI Impact Summit, an international gathering of world leaders on artificial intelligence (AI) and first-ever AI summit of the global south, Duncan Cass-Beggs, Executive Director of the Global AI Risks Initiative at CIGI, highlighted India’s strategic role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence and fostering global consensus on AI governance.
Speaking on the sidelines of the summit with Asian News International, Duncan emphasized that AI-related risks are global and require international cooperation, warning that governments remain underprepared for advanced systems such as Artificial General Intelligence and Artificial Super Intelligence.
