Though the US military operation in Venezuela and capture of its President Nicolas Maduro was a violation of international law, experts noted that world leaders are expressing their views on the operation cautiously as they prepare to deal with a "volatile White House".

Global News spoke with Arif Z. Lalani on the global cautious tone around the military action and the US threat to Canada. The cautious responses are likely a reflection of the fact that “the world is more unpredictable and uncertain following the USA’s unilateral military action,” said Arif.
